Refund and Returns Policy
Last updated: 15 August 2026
This policy explains when you can get your money back for anything bought from My Compliance Library, which is operated by MorPhoe Tech Inc, a California corporation, whose address is 3644 Wyndham Dr, Fremont, CA 94536, USA. It is written in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you buy.
It sits alongside our terms and conditions, which cover what you are licensed to do with the documents, and our privacy policy, which covers the information we hold about you.
1. What we sell
We sell three different things, and the refund position is different for each because what you receive is different:
- Compliance programs and policy documents. Digital files, downloaded as soon as your payment succeeds. One-time purchase, no subscription. These are the only items you can buy directly through this website, and each one is priced on its own product page in US dollars.
- Custom-built programs. Documentation written for your organisation. Scope, price and delivery time are agreed with you before we start, and the current ranges are shown on the custom-built programs page.
- Consulting time. Blocks of hours with a compliance professional, including fractional compliance officer engagements. Block sizes and prices are shown on the consulting page.
Custom programs and consulting are arranged and invoiced separately. They do not go through the shop checkout, so nothing in section 3 below applies to them.
2. How the files reach you
It helps to know how delivery works, because one part of it looks like a problem and is not.
- Your files are never left at a public address. They are held in private storage and are only released against a link that names your paid order.
- As soon as your payment succeeds we record the order and email you a link to your own order page. That page link does not expire.
- Each download button on that page creates a fresh signed link that works for 15 minutes. That is deliberate, so that a link copied into a browser history, a chat message or a server log is not a working key to your files afterwards.
- A download link expiring is not the same as your access ending. If a link has expired, open your order page again and press the button again. You can do that as often as you like, for as long as the order stands.
If you created an account, the same downloads are available from your account area. An account is not required to buy or to download.
3. What you confirm at checkout
Payment is taken by Stripe inside its own form. Before that form will accept your payment, it asks you three questions, all required, and each has a single answer:
- Immediate delivery of digital content. You answer: "I expressly consent to immediate delivery".
- 14-day cancellation right (UK and EU). You answer: "I acknowledge I lose my 14-day right to cancel once the download begins".
- Terms and conditions of sale. You answer: "I have read and accept the terms and the refund policy".
You cannot pay without answering all three, so paying is the act of confirming them. Your answers are stored on the payment record itself, not on our website, together with two version identifiers: one for our Terms and Conditions of Sale, and one for this Refund and Returns Policy. Each identifier is derived from the document text itself, in the form refund-returns@2026-08-15+sha256: followed by a hash of the exact wording that was published when you paid. That means the record names the precise text you agreed to, not just the date printed on it, and a later rewrite of this page cannot quietly change what your order was made under. We can retrieve both later, and you can see them yourself on the confirmation page after paying.
Above the pay button, the form also tells you in full: these are digital files, delivered as soon as your payment succeeds, and by confirming the statements above you accept our terms and refund policy, expressly consent to immediate delivery, and acknowledge that you lose the UK and EU 14-day right to cancel once the download begins. It links both documents by their full address, and it tells you that we will email you a copy of these confirmations, and of the exact document versions they were given under, to keep.
4. Digital programs and policy documents
These are delivered as soon as your payment succeeds. Once you have downloaded a file we cannot take it back, and there is no way for us to verify it has been deleted. For that reason:
- If you have not yet downloaded the files, contact us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. We do not keep a record of who downloaded what, so we take your word for it.
- If you have downloaded the files, we do not offer refunds simply because you changed your mind or decided you did not need the program.
We will still refund a downloaded product if any of the following apply:
- The files are corrupt, incomplete, or will not open, and we cannot fix it.
- What you received is materially different from what the product page described.
- You were charged more than once for the same product, or charged in error.
Before you buy, please read the product page. Every program lists what is included. If you are unsure whether a program covers your situation, email us first and we will tell you honestly, including when the answer is that it does not.
5. Your right to cancel if you are in the UK or EU
Consumers in the UK and the European Union normally have 14 days to cancel a distance purchase and get a refund.
For digital content delivered immediately, that right ends once download begins, but only where you have given express consent to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you are giving up the cancellation right. Section 3 describes exactly how we ask for those two things, and the answers are recorded.
Because those confirmations are required before payment, every order placed through this site carries them. We do not treat that as the end of the matter. If you have not downloaded, the refund in section 4 is yours for 14 days whether or not the statutory right still stands, and you do not have to give a reason.
This section applies to consumers. It does not apply to purchases made by a business, which most of ours are.
6. Custom-built programs
- Before work begins, cancel for any reason and we refund you in full.
- After work begins but before delivery, we refund the portion not yet worked, and tell you plainly what that is.
- After delivery, we do not refund because the work is specific to your organisation and cannot be resold. If the delivered work does not match the scope we agreed, we will revise it until it does, at no extra cost.
7. Consulting hours
- Unused hours are refundable in full for 12 months from purchase.
- Used hours are not refundable, because the time has been spent.
- If we cancel or fail to deliver a booked session, you can reschedule or take a refund for that session, whichever you prefer.
- Cancel or reschedule a booked session at least 24 hours ahead at no charge. Later than that, or a missed session, may count as used.
8. How to request a refund
Email support@mycompliancelibrary.com with your order number and what went wrong. You do not need to justify a request that falls inside the windows above.
- We respond within 2 business days.
- Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe, and reach you within 5 to 10 business days. The exact timing is set by your bank or card issuer, not by us.
- We refund the amount you paid. Any charge your own bank applied, such as a currency conversion fee, is between you and them.
9. What a refund does to your access
When a refund is issued, the order is marked refunded and your download access ends immediately. In practice:
- The download buttons disappear from your order page, which then explains that the order was refunded.
- Any download link already issued to you stops working, including one you had open a moment earlier. The check is made against the order, not against the link, so an unexpired link is refused too.
- Your licence to use the documents ends. We cannot reach copies you have already saved, so we ask you to delete them and stop using them. That obligation is set out in our terms.
- A refund is final. Nothing later restores access to a refunded order. If you want the programs again, buy them again.
10. Disputes and chargebacks
If something has gone wrong, please contact us first. We would rather refund you directly than have you raise a chargeback, because a chargeback takes longer for you and costs us a fee. We will not withhold a legitimate refund to avoid one.
If a dispute is raised anyway, here is exactly what happens, because the outcome differs and it would be unfair to treat every case as the worst one:
- An enquiry from your bank, where the money has not been taken back from us, changes nothing. Your downloads keep working while the question is answered.
- A chargeback, where the money has been withdrawn, pauses your downloads while the bank decides. Your order page says the downloads are paused and why, rather than saying you were refunded, because you were not.
- A dispute resolved in our favour, or withdrawn, restores your downloads automatically. You do not need to ask us, and there is nothing to buy again. This happens on its own, usually within minutes and at the latest within an hour.
- A dispute decided against us is final and is treated the same as a refund: the money has gone back to you, so the access ends and does not return.
If a dispute was raised in error, tell us at support@mycompliancelibrary.com and we can help have it withdrawn, which is usually faster than waiting for the bank.
11. If your payment was declined or duplicated
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and never reach our servers, so we never see or store your full card number. If you were charged and did not receive your files, contact us and we will either deliver them or refund you, whichever you prefer.
Our charge carries a short label identifying My Compliance Library on your statement, so it should be recognisable. If you see a charge you do not recognise, email us before disputing it and we will find it.
12. Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under consumer protection law, including rights relating to goods or services that are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose. Where this policy and the law disagree, the law wins.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published on the day you bought, which is why the checkout record names the exact text you agreed to, by content hash and not by date alone. Changes are posted on this page with a new last-updated date.
