WHO ARE THE MCL BOARD OF ADVISORS

 

The MCL Advisory Board is a diverse group of experienced professionals who bring expertise in compliance, cybersecurity, data privacy, technology, and small business operations. These individuals provide strategic guidance, industry insight, and practical feedback to help shape My Compliance Library’s mission, offerings, and long-term growth.


Advisors serve in a non-governing, volunteer capacity and play a critical role in ensuring MCL remains aligned with the evolving regulatory landscape and the real-world needs of small and midsize businesses. Their perspectives support innovation, integrity, and accessibility across all of MCL’s compliance programs and services.

James Holler

James Holler is a seasoned entrepreneur, compliance expert, and U.S. military veteran with more than two decades of experience building businesses and navigating complex regulatory environments. 


As the founder and CEO of My Compliance Library (MCL), James is deeply committed to helping small and midsize businesses (SMBs) across the globe overcome the costly and confusing barriers of compliance.


A proud veteran, James brings the discipline, leadership, and mission-driven mindset instilled by his military service into every project he leads. His career in compliance spans federal, healthcare, energy, and financial sectors—where he has successfully built and implemented programs aligned with over 80 regulatory frameworks, including SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST, and CMMC.


In addition to MCL, James has launched and operated more than a dozen companies, showcasing his wide-ranging expertise in product development, customer experience, and brand strategy. Notable ventures include Abidance Consulting, Bimini Beachwear, NautiSkin, Jimmy’s DIY Garage, and Private Collector Suites, among others.


James’s ability to bridge real-world operational needs with regulatory excellence makes him a powerful voice and visionary within the compliance space. As a member of the MCL Board of Advisors, he continues to drive innovation that supports SMBs on their path to sustainable growth and security.

Angelica Barnes

 

Angelica is a brand strategist and marketing consultant who helps mission-driven businesses clarify their message, elevate their credibility, and build sustainable growth engines. As the founder of Embrace Your Brand, she specializes in transforming complex service offerings into clear, compelling narratives that connect with the right audiences.


With a deep background in creative direction and strategic communication, Angelica supports MCL in aligning its powerful compliance solutions with small business needs—making safety, trust, and transparency more accessible for all.  

Gary Sizemore

Gary Sizemore brings over 40 years of expertise in Personnel, Program, and Facilities Management. He has established a strong record in Safety and Facility Safety Management, with consistently positive audit findings from both internal and external reviewers, including US Government Auditors.

Aviation and Safety Credentials
A trained Rotor Wing Aviator, Gary has served in multiple critical roles such as Medical Evacuation Pilot, Aeroscout Pilot, and Counter Drug Pilot. 


His responsibilities have included Task Force Flight Operations, Unit and Task Force Safety Management, Line Safety, Lead Pilot, Medical Evacuation Pilot, Safety Officer, and Unit Trainer.

Leadership and Management Experience
Gary has held several leadership positions, including:
• President, National EMS Helicopter Pilots Association
• Aviation Safety Site Manager, Air Methods
• Florida Manager of Aviation and Product Safety, Sikorsky Corporation
• Auditor and SMS Manager, Dynamic International Airways
• Part 119 Director of Safety, Airline
Training and Certifications

His background includes US Army and Civil Safety Management experience, completion of the US Army Aviation Safety Officer Course, OSHA compliance certification from the US Army, the OSHA 30-hour General Industry Course, and the Southern California Safety Institute Accident Investigators course.

Steve Shannon

Steve Shannon is an innovative quality assurance leader with extensive experience guiding cross-functional teams in the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of superior management systems across a wide range of industries. His background spans component manufacturing and assembly, renewable energy site construction/O&M, AC manufacturing and propulsion systems, heavy equipment manufacturing, and rocket engine assembly and testing.

As an analytical strategist, Steve has a proven record of identifying opportunities for lean methodology implementation, driving program certification standards, creating effective standard operating procedures, and developing measurable performance metrics to ensure operational excellence.

A collaborative communicator, he is committed to building strong relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders, always promoting synergy across business lines to deliver meaningful change and measurable results.
